Adam West Dies at 88


The first caped crusader, Adam West, died earlier this week. He was 88. West was known for playing many people’s favorite superhero, Batman. After the show was cancelled, West got many voice roles in various television series for children and for the more mature audiences. West was also well known for voicing himself in the animated series, Family Guy. West even reprised his role as Batman in “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusader.” Our thoughts and prayers from Roam Life Free go out to the West family.



Goosebumps 2 Titled Goosebumps: Horrorland


Rob Letterman is returning to direct the sequel along with Jack Black returning as R.L. Stine. The movie will be based off of the “Horrorland” series, which is known as the scariest place on Earth according to the author, Stine. The sequel is set to arrive Sept. 21, 2018.


Black Panther Teaser Trailer Released

Marvel Studios released it’s first trailer of the upcoming Black Panther. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, who previously directed Creed and Fruitvale Station. The film will feature a predominately black cast that includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Forest Whitaker, Martin Freeman, and Andy Serkis. The film hits theaters Feb. 18.


Venom Will Not Be a Part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe


Kevin Feige has confirmed that Venom, staring Tom Hardy as the titular character, won’t be a part of the MCU. Sony plans on being in complete control of this R-rating comic book film. Spider-Man: Homecoming director, Jon Watts, has also confirmed Venom will not be connected. Though it isn’t surprising to some, it’s now confusing to many. The origin of Venom is heavily tied around Spider-Man, meaning many things are going to change. The film is still set to open Oct. 8, 2018.


Simon Kinberg to Direct X-Men: Dark Phoenix


Deadline reported this week Simon Kinberg will be directing the next X-Men film. This will be Kinberg’s first film as a director, but has written and produced the last two X-Men films. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Jennifer Lawrence are set to return. Jessica Chastain is in talks to play the villain, Shi’ar Empress Lilandra. The film is set to come out Nov. 2, 2018.
